bulletCustomization & Hints and Tips:
bulletIf you use the sticky-backed strips, you must first cover the strip or strips with your chosen covering. Try some of the following:
bulletRibbon.
bulletChristmas Wrapping Paper.
bulletThin fabric, plain or with a small design or glitter covered.
bulletChildren's drawings etc.
bulletThe width of the Snap ball strips is identical to many of the standard ribbon sizes.
bulletIf using a thinner ribbon, repeat the pattern. The Millennium covered examples on this page use two strips of ribbon.
bulletFor a glitter effect try sprinkling the surface with glitter or accent beads. This will however require special attention in construction, and is best left until you are accomplished at ball making.
bulletTo make the ball, which can be hung from your Christmas tree or other device. Either make a small hole in the centre of one of the strips, in the narrow area between the two semi-circles on one strip, by folding a thin thread in half and threading the folded end through a needle. Push the needle through the card and make a large not it the lose end. unthread the needle. Now you have a looped hanger.
bulletIf using thicker thread, or you don't want to push a needle through the card. Loop and tie off a piece of string about 8" long. When snapping the last portion of the ball closed. Insert the knotted end and snap the card over the string.
bulletThe small size strips have a coverable area of 16.5cm by 3.5cm each.
bulletThe large size strips have a coverable area of 23.5cm by 5cm each.
