 | Fold your sheet of A4 card in half and cut, mark the fold and cut. This will leave
you with two pieces of card 21x14.75 cm. |
 | Fold one of the pieces of card in half again, and press the fold firmly by running a
ruler down its length. |
 | Cut your piece of felt approx. 6.5x8.0 cm (use a contrasting colour from the card) |
 | Place your felt on the card at a 45 degree angle to the card (to give a Diamond
appearance.). make small pencil mark on corners to mark position. |
 | Cover the back of the felt with PVA Glue and stick to the card. Placing the felt gently
on the card, using the position marks. Gently firm down the felt to remove bubbles. |
 | Cut the Pipe cleaner in half. Cut the two halves in half.. Set aside two of the pieces.
Cut the remaining two pieces in half again. |
 | To make the antlers. Bend one of the short pieces of Pipe cleaner in half. Now wrap this
once around one of the longer pieces of pipe cleaner. approximately in the middle. repeat
this procedure with one of the other short pieces. This time wrapping it close to the end
of the long pipe cleaner. Repeat the procedure with the remaining Long piece with the two
shorter pieces. |
 | Cut the Ribbon into Three pieces of approximately equal length. With two of the pieces
cut one end at an angle of approx. 45 degrees. This will make the two ends of the Bow. |
 | To make the Bow. make a circle with a small overlap out of the other piece of
ribbon. dab a little glue one one overlap and press firmly together to make a circle.
Allow this to dry. |
 | When dry, dab another bit of glue to the inside of the overlaps and stick this to the
far side of the circle. This will now give you two loops of approximately equal size.
Allow to dry. |
 | While this is drying find the approximate centre point of the felt. make a small mark
with a felt tip of fabric marker. |
 | place a small amount of glue on the long end of the antlers and stick these to the card,
with the ends close to the centre point and lying at an angle of 45 degrees from the
centre line of the card. |
 | Just below this centre point put another dab of glue. Hold one of the pieces of ribbon
in your hand with the angled edge inside your hand. Stick the other end to the glue,
making sure that the ribbon is at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the centre line
of the card. Repeat this procedure with the other piece of ribbon, by placing a dab of
glue at the top of the first ribbon and extending the bow end out towards the other edge
of the card. |
 | Once this is dry. Place a further dab of glue over the top end of the ribbon and firmly
hold the ribbon bow down. make sure that the joint is at the back and that the middle of
the bow meets the top of the Bow ends. |
 | Now place a Blob of glue on the centre point of the felt and firmly hold down the larger
pom-pom. |
 | Allow this to dry. |
 | To make the nose. Place a small dab of glue on the small pom-pom and place this in the
middle towards the bottom of the front of the larger pom-pom. Hold in place and allow to
dry. |
 | Now apply a small amount of glue to the back of the googlie eyes and apply to the larger
pom-pom just above the nose. |
 | To create different characters you can experiment with the positioning of the nose and
eyes. You can also add finer detail using a felt marker or fabric pen. |
 | Place a small dab of glue to the middle of the bow and place the bell over this. |
 | Apply a small amount of glue to the back of a piece of Merry Christmas Confetti and
place this at the top of the card. You can then write your own message inside. |
 | You can add further bits of decoration to the card using various designs of Christmas
Confetti. |
