 | Wrap full length blue pipe cleaner (chenille rod) around a silver pom
pom and twist to secure. gently curve to pipe cleaner to form a "9" shape. |
 | Using the second full length blue pipe cleaner, repeat the process,
and lay the shapes back to back. As shown in Fig 1. |
 | Glue the shapes together by putting a blob of glue on one of the pom
poms. Do not glue all the way down the pipe cleaners. |
 | Cut the remaining pipe cleaner in half. Glue the two pieces across
the body pf the bug. As Shown in Fig 2. This shape is the emblem used by many computer
programmers to represent the Millennium Bug. |
 | Attach the silver pipe cleaner to the back of the bug, either use
glue, or twist around at the leg area. Twist the shape to look like a number
"2", with the base of the number two connected at the back of the bug, and
bend a little to allow the flat bottom of the tail to give it support. |
 | Place a dab of glue to each of the small blue pom poms and secure
them to the middle front of the silver pom poms. These represent part of the eyes. |
 | Place a dab of glue to the back of the wiggly eyes and glue one to
each of blue pom poms. |
 | Finally make a bow with the millennium ribbon. Glue the ribbon to the
front of the bug at the leg join area. |
 | Adjust the silver tail pipe cleaner to enable the bug to stand on his
own. |
