Layering |
|
|
 | The technique of layering, allows for the addition of depth and dimension to a
piece.
 | Because of the transparency of the paint, the layering of different shades of a
colour or the layering of different colours, will result in a multi-dimensional effect. |
 | When used on glass, layering will allow for a different colour, or different
image to be seen from the other side. When using glass, please
ensure that the glass will withstand baking. |
 | When layering with the same colours, both the intensity and opacity of the
colours will be increased. |
 | To obtain a solid opaque colour on glass;
 | First paint on Ivory (No 43), allow to dry |
 | Apply successive layers of the desired colour onto the ivory. |
|
 | To obtain opaque colours while painting on the back side of glass
 | First paint on the desired colour, and allow to dry. |
 | Apply a layer of Ivory (No 43) over it. |
|
 | This will result in a brilliant non-transparent coverage. |
