It is important that the glass is heated slowly and cooled slowly. Heating or cooling to quickly will result in breaking of the glass. It may however be unwise to bake some very fine fragile glass items. Q - I wish to paint a glass object with Porcelaine 150 which cannot be baked in an oven. can I heat it using a hot air blower etc. A - No. It is very important that the paint and the glass is heated and cooled slowly. Baking Instructions. Use of a hot air blower etc will not allow even heating of the glass or the paint and will result in either blistering and or cracking of the paint. Try Vitrail, or simply allow to dry naturally. The finish will not be glazed, and will require care when cleaning.
