 | either purchase or make a stretching frame to
hold your silk firm while painting. |
 | Your frame should be a little larger than the
size of the silk. For large silks move the fabric around on the
frame. |
 | Hold the silk to the frame with Holding Pins, or
masking tape. |
 | The fabric is pre gutta'd in gold. This gutta is
essential to prevent colours from running wild over the fabric. |
 | Paint the fabric with the silk painting technique
of your choice. |
 | Allow the silk to dry |
 | Remove the holding pins. |
 | Fix colours by ironing the reverse side on cotton
setting for 3-4 minutes, being careful not to burn the silk, |
