 | Decoupage is derived from the French word Decouper, meaning to cut.
In 18th Century France craftsmen would decorate furniture with
delicate overlapping paper patterns heavily varnished. |
 | Modern day 3D Decoupage has it's origins in the USA & Canada
where pictures were created using a layering technique. Each new layer
being raised by using foam pads or glue dots or similar glues. |
 | Very effective decoupage designs can be constructed using gift wrap
or magazine pictures. |
