Basic Quick Colour Technique Prepare your work surface with newspaper or a plastic sheet Dampen the silk and place in a microwave proof dish. Fold or crease the silk to the desired pattern. (see techniques below) Apply Quick Colours. Leave the colours to blend and inter mix, creating amazing patterns. Fix the paint by microwaving for 3-4 minutes at 450 watts. It is important not to exceed the time or wattage as this can damage the silk. Rinse in cold water to remove excess paint. iron dry. Results will vary according to the fabric, colours used and the way in which the silk has been folded or tied. Utensils can be washed after use with soapy water. It is recommended that rubber gloves and an apron are worn. The quantity of paint included in the kit is sufficient for approx another 4 or 5 scarves (28 x 130 cm)
